J World Annual Sea of Cortez CruiseEach winter, J/World Sailing School hosts special cruising courses crossing the stunning Sea of Cortez. This winter, we have a cruise going from Puerto Vallarta to Cabo San Lucas on April 29 to May 4 of 2012. We'll start out in the stunning Banderas Bay, departing from our wintertime sailing base in Puerto Vallarta. From there, we will head north along the Pacific coast of mainland Mexico. Possible stops include the gorgeous Punta Mita, the sleepy town of Chacala, and the old city of San Blas. From there, we'll head to the remarkable Isla Isabella, sometimes called Mexico's mini-Galapagos. Then it's off across the Sea. The crossing at the mouth of the Sea of Cortez is about 250 miles. It's a perfect overnight trip, where and we should make landfall at the Baja peninsula in the afternoon of the second day. A
J World
Sailing School instructor
will be with you the whole time on this
liveaboard cruising course, and you may earn your US Sailing
Bareboat Cruising
certification. We'll make sure that you get the experience,
knowledge, and confidence to go it alone next time! Since we
keep the student to instructor ratio very low to make sure you get lots of personal attention.
The cost is $2790 per person (plus taxes).
* Prices include all fuel, port/harbor fees, taxes, and onboard provisions. For full payment policies, please visit our pricing page.
